Rahul didn’t say anything, but his face had an expression that said, “Are we talking about stealing candy from a child or a Bank Robbery?”
“It will be as easy as stealing candy from a child” Vikas said.
Rahul was startled, and he wondered if he had said his thoughts out loud. Vikas was smiling and looking at the both of them. Anyone who could see the three men at that moment would not take long to figure that Vikas was the leader of the group, and the other two were mere players. And the players were content with being players.
“So, I hope you have given some thought to the plan…have you?” Vikas continued.
“Not really, I still feel that this is not a good idea and I am not sure why I am letting you convince me into doing it, but I am… and I will let you make the plan,” Rahul shrugged.
“I did give it a lot of thought and I am sure your plan will work. I did a little homework and here are some facts. The vehicle that is going to transport the money is going to be a regular jeep. The security, asusual , is mainly the safe in which the money is going to be transferred, not very big, but very strong. So we have to just take the chest away and break it, or open it, at our leisure. There will be two security guys plus the driver. Another thing, which I don’t know is good or bad, is that I will be with them,” Ramesh said.
“Hmm…” Vikas was thoughtful, “It could be good, it could be bad. It is good in some ways, and bad in some, but it requires a little more planning and care. It is good that now we will have three men on the job, and you being with them can help us plan it to the very last moment, but it makes it riskier for you, and if we have to hurt people we might have to beat you up a bit to avoid suspicion.”
“Better be beaten up by you, then by the police and the jail inmates, but we should find a way to do it without hurting anyone. I know the two guys who will be with me, and I don’t want them hurt,” Ramesh said.
“Look!” Vikas said with great emphasis, ” The first thing that I want you to understand, and note down, is that if the need of the hour is to hurt someone, don’t hold back… better them than us.”
Rahul and Ramesh merely nodded in assent.
“So, you know what you have to do?” Vikas said, addressing Ramesh, “You have to try and make them leave as late as possible, but don’t be too obvious about it, if they leave early… doesn’t matter, just try to delay them as much as possible.”
“Why the delay though?” Rahul asked.
