Is there a Secret to Success?

I recently came across a blog post titled, “The one secret to successful blogging”. Of course, I was hooked and I decided to go ahead and read the entire post.

When I was finished I was more disappointed than anything else. Looking back, I think whenever I have come across any post or article that promises to reveal the “only” secret to anything, I have only faced disappointment.

It would, therefore, be safe to say  that there is no one secret for succeeding in anything.

The Self Fulfilling Prophecy

According to Wikipedia, a self fulfilling prophecy is a “prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true, by the very terms of the prophecy itself, due to positive feedback between belief and behavior.”

Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right. – Henry Ford.

It is quite possible that one day we will have products that have been modified to meet the need of each individual customer. Dell, for example, is one company that has tried to customise its products since its inception.

But, why is there a need for customisation?

The needs arises because each human being is unique. In spite of the physical resemblance, each one of the six billion individuals on this earth is unique. If you think that isn’t the case, then consider finger prints – though we all have fingers that are alike, and perform almost the same tasks, yet everyone has a unique finger print.
