As I said in one of my previous posts, if someone has more than one blog it is important for them to identify a niche for each of the blogs. Otherwise it is easy to become confused as to what one is going to post on the different blogs.

Once confusion sets in, many other problems follow. 

Identifying a niche is also helpful as it gives you a rough outline around which you can  develop your post. There are certain things that you write about, and then there are others that you don’t. Once you have that defined, coming up with the posts becomes a little less difficult.

A niche is good for the readers too because they know what to expect when they come to your blog. If it is something that is of interest to them, they would like to subscribe to your blog or bookmark it. If not, they will move on.

This blog has been in existence for almost an year now, but till now I have not been able to decide a niche for it, but I think that is a thing of the past. Because, now, I have decided that it will be possible to continue this blog only if a niche is defined for it. And I have defined it…

What it is, is something that you will have to figure out for yourself in the days to come.  I am sure it will not be hard to figure it out!

Or, maybe I should say,  too much social networking is bad for blogging.

Contrary to what is widely said in the blogosphere, I have begun to feel that too much social networking can hurt you in the long run as a blogger. Of  course, social networking has an important role to play for any blogger, yet sometimes it begins to consume too much of the blogger’s time that blogging is affected.

Most bloggers join social networking sites as a way to promote their blogs. But, when they explore the site, they make new friends and find new things to do on these sites, resulting in the blogger’s losing focus of their main goal – Blogging.
